Move Well.
Shockwave, ultrasound, and electrotherapy reduce nerve pain, promote healing in musculoskeletal injuries, provide drug-free pain relief, increase circulation for wound repair, and have no negative side effects.
ATHLETIC TRAINING
Athletic training is customized care working with athletes of all levels, as well as athletes at heart, to help them achieve their goals and stay at the top of their game. It also provides relief for those in pain and rehabilitation services for injuries. From stretching to taping, our trainers utilize a variety of sports rehab and neuroscience services that are tailored to you to help you get back in the game.
CUPPING
Made famous by Olympic athletes, cupping has been used in traditional Chinese and Middle Eastern Medicine for decades. Cups are placed at certain points on the skin and are used to create suction, which slightly pulls up the tissue and stimulates blood flow to an area. Benefits include pain reduction, improved circulation, muscle relaxation, and activating the immune system triggering the body's natural healing process.
DRY NEEDLING
Acupuncture needles are applied to any tight or inflamed areas of the body. These overused muscles are in an energy crisis because the muscle fibers are not getting adequate blood supply. Once these trigger points are stimulated, new blood is directed to the injured area and flushes out the old to relieve tension and trigger a healing response. Inflammation is also removed, resetting the muscles and encouraging them to fire and contract. Dry needling is effective for neuromuscular injury tissue repair and can provide biomechanics structure and electrical changes to the body. This allows the muscles to perform better with longer results.
ELECTROTHERAPY
Because the nervous system uses electrical impulses in movement to control the body, we can apply an electrical current that partners with the body to strengthen muscles, block chronic pain signals, repair tissues, stimulate cells, and improve blood circulation. This will help to manage pain and restore range of motion. Electrotherapy is gentle and non-invasive, using nerve stimulation to the muscles through the body's largest organ- the skin! These electrical impulses then block or interfere with pain signals in the body and release endorphins that naturally decrease pain
GRASTON
Graston Technique therapy is successful in effectively treating all soft tissue conditions, whether chronic, acute, or post-surgical. Utilizing various gentle skin-massaging devices, the tools gently massage the skin to identify restricted points and break up existing scar tissue and fascial restrictions such as tissue tightness from muscle strains. This treatment aims to restore the range of motion, eliminate pain, and decrease the recovery time. Conditions treated with Graston are ankle injuries, plantar fasciitis, foot pain, rotator cuff syndrome, shin splints, tennis elbow, and lumbar pain.
HYPERICE RECOVERY
Both athletes and weekend warriors will enjoy the benefits of recovery and performance enhancement with Hyperice. Our office offers the compression therapy line of the boots, the hips, or even the shoulder compression sleeves to promote circulation and encourage new blood flow to areas of the body that have been overworked and need to recover quickly. This occurs due to a pulsing mechanism that mimics how the muscles pump within the body and transfer fluid or lactic acid that has become stagnant. Engaging the lymphatic system to remove toxins aids in accelerated recovery, improved and enhanced circulation, and reduced inflammation. Additionally, we offer cold and heat packs for the knee, massage guns, and Venom back belts to perform temperature and vibration therapies to overworked and injured parts of the body. These treatments are invaluable because they decrease muscle fatigue and soreness, lessen pain, increase range of motion, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and recuperate from injuries. Hyperice is a perfect fit for high-intensity sports, everyday fitness routines, and lifestyle needs. If you are recovering from a marathon, a strenuous workout, or simply seeking relief from daily muscle fatigue, this recovery offers a solution to enhance your physical well-being.
SHOCKWAVE
This powerful sound wave is transmitted deep into the tissue to achieve a beneficial reaction. The rapid pressure causes vibration within the tissues that breaks inflammatory cells, causing the tissue to respond in beneficial ways. In the injured tissue, pain is reduced, and healing is promoted. Utilizing this therapy improves blood flow and oxygenation to the treated area, encouraging the regeneration of tendon, bone, and soft tissue. Shockwave also releases trigger points, breaks up calcium, increases the range of motion, strengthens connective tissues, and boosts cell regeneration. Great for issues like plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, and Achilles tendinopathy.
TAPING
Constructed of breathable, stretchable material, this tape supports the area of concern and activates the surrounding muscles and ligaments to support the injury. By doing this, the body allows blood flow to move around the injured muscle and stabilizes the injured area to help reduce swelling and relieve pain. Utilizing the lymphatic system, which is how the body regulates swelling and fluid buildup, the tape allows blood and lymphatic fluid to move stagnant inflammation to cleanse and heal the injury. The theory is that when kinesiology tape is applied to the injured area, it creates extra subcutaneous space, which changes the pressure gradient in the area of the fluid terrain or lymphatic system, and that change in pressure enhances the flow of lymphatic fluid. This treatment is beneficial for those with labor-intensive jobs, physically active people, joint pain sufferers, and those who seek relief from normal everyday wear on the body (bad posture, sitting at a desk all day, etc).
ULTRASOUND
Therapeutic ultrasound utilizes a deep heating effect and sound waves to penetrate targeted soft tissue within the body, such as muscles, ligaments, and tendons, to introduce energy into the body. Additionally, it is used to boost circulation and stimulate the body's natural healing processes. It can also repair damaged tissue (like scars and cellulite within the tissues) and loosen the muscles. This non-invasive, gentle treatment Ultrasound is used to decrease pain, increase circulation, decrease tightness in muscles, and speed up the healing process. Often this is used to treat injuries such as neck and back pain, injuries and muscle spasms, bone fractures, nerve pain, tendinitis, and bursitis.
